A historical journey by train

  • From Nice to Digne-les-Bains

    The Train des Pignes connects Nice to Digne-les-Bains, covering 151 km through the Alps and serving around thirty towns and villages.

  • Integrated into the regional ZOU ! network

    Since 2018, it has been facilitating daily travel for residents and tourists in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

  • To complement the roads

    This train provides a vital service for rural and mountainous areas, while offering an authentic travel experience.

From Nice to Digne-les-Bains, set off on a journey through some thirty destinations. 

Train des Pignes Historique à vapeur

From Puget-Théniers to Annot, the iconic route of the Historic Train des Pignes Historique à vapeur invites you on a journey back in time, pulled by the ‘Portuguese’ E211 locomotive. Volunteers from G.E.C.P. will take you on a 20km journey through alpine landscapes from 3 May to 7 November 2026.
