On 4 October 2026, make the most of the Grande Fête des véloroutes (Great Cycle Route Festival) to explore the Vaucluse by bike and easily reach the event by train or bus with ZOU !

Let’s all get on our bikes on the ViaRhôna!

Organised by the Vaucluse Department, the Grande Fête des véloroutes returns on Sunday 4 October 2026, from 10 am to 5 pm, for its third edition, with the ViaRhôna taking centre stage.

This free event can be enjoyed at your own pace, with family, friends or on your own, with Sorgues as the main stopover village. Nine towns are taking part in the event: Avignon, Sorgues, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Caderousse, Piolenc, Mornas, Mondragon, Lamotte-du-Rhône and Lapalud.

More bike spaces on trains and buses for the ViaRhôna Grande Fête des véloroutes!

1. By train 🚆

To mark the ViaRhôna Grande Fête des véloroutes, the Région Sud is increasing the number of bike spaces on trains on the Marseille – Avignon – Valence – Lyon line. The busiest trains will be able to carry up to 30 bikes per train. A handy way to combine train and cycle travel and get to the event without a car.

2. By bus 🚌

Several ZOU ! bus lines serve the participating towns on Sunday. Some are equipped with bike racks, notably lines 915 (Avignon – Apt – Forcalquier) and 707 (Avignon – Arles).

Other routes also serve the area: 902, 903, 904, 905, 906, 907 and 63.
